How to Reschedule a Job

When to use this guide

Use this guide when a customer changes their appointment or when you must adjust your daily schedule.

Prerequisites

  • Job must already exist.
  • The job must not be completed or invoiced.

Step-by-step

Step 1 — Open the Schedule

  1. Go to Schedule.
  2. Select Day or Week view.

Step 2 — Reschedule by Drag & Drop

You can modify:

🕒 Time

Drag the job card up or down.

📆 Date

Drag the job horizontally into another date column (Week view).

👤 Assigned Employee

Drag the card into another employee’s column.


Step 3 — Edit Details (Optional)

For more advanced edits:

  1. Click the job card.
  2. Click Edit Job.
  3. Adjust:
    • Date
    • Time
    • Duration
    • Notes
  4. Save changes.

Common mistakes

❌ “I moved the job but it didn’t change”

  • Schedule filters may be active.
  • Refresh to confirm.

❌ “Employee unavailable”

Reasons:

  • Employee has no working hours configured.
  • Employee has a day off or event.
  • Employee is already booked for that time.

❌ “Customer wants a different time but schedule won’t allow it”

  • Job duration may be too long for the open slot.
