Schedule & Smart Dispatching
The Schedule is the core of your daily operations.
From here you can control all job assignments, statuses, progress, and conflicts in real time.
1. Calendar Views
Your calendar includes:
- Day View
- Unassigned Jobs panel
Each job card shows:
- Customer
- Property
- Services
- Priority
- Assigned employees
- Duration
- Job Status
- Invoice Status
- Important notes
2. Smart Dispatching
When selecting Dispatch, DOP automatically shows:
✔ Available employees
Employees who:
- Are not assigned to another job at that time
- Have no events (sick, vacation, unavailable)
- Are active
✔ Distance calculation
Using Google Distance Matrix, DOP measures:
- Distance from employee’s last known address
- Travel time
- Drive time (later used in payroll)
✔ Recommended technician
Based on:
- Previous job history
- Area preference
- Vehicle availability (“Uses Their Own Car”)
3. Assigning a Job
You can assign a job via:
- Drag-and-drop directly on calendar
- Dispatch Panel
- Inside the job → “Assign Employee”
4. Job Status Flow
Employees update job status from their mobile app:
- On the Way
- Started
- In Progress
- Finished
Office staff can override statuses if needed.
5. Unassigned Jobs
All jobs without a technician appear in the:
- Unassigned Jobs panel
- Dashboard alert
- Calendar conflict indicator
This ensures jobs are not forgotten.
6. Rescheduling Jobs
You can:
- Drag a job to a new date
- Move to another employee
- Edit schedule details inside the job
DOP checks for conflicts and warns if:
- Employee is unavailable
- Another job overlaps
- Time outside company work hours
7. Calendar Tools
- Filter by employee
- Filter by job status
- Filter by priority
- Block completed jobs
- Color coding by employee
