How to Add a Customer

When to use this guide

Use this guide to create a new customer profile so you can assign properties, jobs, invoices, and payments.

Prerequisites

No prerequisites. You can add customers at any time.


Step-by-step

Step 1 — Go to the Customers Module

  1. Open the sidebar.
  2. Click Customers.
  3. Click New Customer.

Step 2 — Enter Customer Details

Fill in:

  • Full name or company name
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Preferred communication method
  • Notes (e.g., access instructions, preferences, gate codes)

All fields are optional except name.


Step 3 — Add Tags (Optional)

Tags help classify customers:

  • VIP
  • Property Manager
  • Airbnb/VRBO Host
  • Monthly Client
  • Same-day requests

Use these tags to improve dispatching and filtering.


Step 4 — Save Customer

Click Save.

The new customer now appears in:

  • Customer list
  • Job creation dropdown
  • Batch invoice selector
  • Reporting section

Common mistakes

❌ “Customer already exists”

Search for:

  • Alternate spelling
  • Phone number
  • Email address

❌ Unable to save

  • Required fields missing
  • Invalid email or phone format
